Logging In

Logging into your GrimChat account is simple - we'll demonstrate the process below.

Note: Your login experience may be different than what is shown below depending on the XMPP client you're using. The instructions below were created using Gajim on Windows Desktop.

After you install Gajim and launch it for the first time, you will be redirected to the Add Account screen:

1. Enter your full GrimChat username (including @grim.chat) in the Username field
2. Enter your selected password in the Password field
3. Click Log In. 

If your login was correct, you'll receive the below confirmation. Click Connect to close the window and continue

You're now connected to GrimChat!

Note: You should not need to modify any Advanced Settings or connection settings when connecting to GrimChat - always use the defaults shown below:
